KINH NGHIỆM ĐÓNG THUẾ PHÍ CHO SINGLE MEMBER LLC US CHÍNH CHỦ VN

Nói qua xíu về case của e, thì giữa năm 2023 e có tạo 5 cái Single member LLC US với owner là e và người thân. Do làm ITIN muộn và mất khá nhiều thời gian nên sát deadline e mới bắt đầu khai thuế, sau khi khảo giá 1 số bên thì hơi chát nên mới bắt đầu tự tìm hiểu và tự nộp.

Về cơ bản, sẽ có 3 loại thuế, phí chính mà mình cần quan tâm:

  1. Federal tax: thuế liên bang, đóng cho IRS.
  2. State tax: thuế tiểu bang, đóng cho bang mà LLC tạo hoặc hoạt động
  3. Annual Report Fee: phí gia hạn DN đóng cho bang mà LLC tạo hoặc hoạt động
  4. Registered Agent: cái này như kiểu đại diện của LLC của mình ở Mỹ để bên IRS và bang có thể liên lạc hoặc gửi hồ sơ khi cần
  5. FEDERAL TAX
  • Deadline: 15/4 hàng năm.
  • Form chính: Form 1040-NR
  • Cách nộp: E-file ( nộp online) hoặc gửi bản giấy
  • Công cụ: trong số các Trusted Partners của IRS (e k để đc link, các bác lên google search Trusted Partners IRS và chọn cái đầu) thì e đã lập và thử hết, chỉ có duy nhất Taxact là cho E-file form 1040-NR. Thêm 1 điểm cộng là giao diện khá dễ dùng, đơn giản, khá dễ làm với newbie như e.
  • Thanh toán: Tuy nhiên sau khi điền hết thông tin thì sẽ k pay đc trực tiếp trên Taxact, do đó sau khi dùng Taxact để e-file xong thì e sẽ dùng Pay1040 (https://www.pay1040.com/#/payment/personal) rồi dùng Paypal để thanh toán khoản thuế đó. Lưu ý là số ITIN và số tiền phải khớp nhé ạ

STATE TAX

    • Deadline: hầu hết là 15/4 hàng năm.
    • Cách nộp: Chỉ có thể gửi bản giấy, không E-file được do
    • Công cụ: Các bác có thể khai báo tiếp phần State tax trong Taxact. Tuy nhiên sau đấy sẽ không E-file được mà phải down về rồi gửi sang địa chỉ của bang đó để nộp bản cứng. Lưu ý là Taxact sẽ thu phí mới cho tải về.
    • Thanh toán: Cái này lên trực tiếp trang web của bang, ví dụ LLC của e ở Colorado thì vào trang thanh toán của Colorado ( Search Revenue online Colorado, chọn cái đầu tiên, rồi vào payment), điền thông tin và add thẻ Debit/Credit của VN vào thanh toán binh thường.

    ANNUAL REPORT

      • Deadline: cái này tùy từng bang, ví dụ với Colorado thì sẽ tính trong vòng 3 tháng kể từ ngày tạo LLC.
      • Cách nộp: Online qua trang web của bang
      • Thanh toán: Với Colorado là 10$ cho mỗi LLC, vào phần Periodic Report rồi thanh toán. Tuy nhiên e đã test với thẻ VN thì k đc, phải nhờ thẻ của bạn ở Mỹ mới cho thanh toán cái này.

      REGISTER AGENT

        • Có nhiều bên cung cấp cái này, đây là ví dụ 1 bên e đang dùng: https://www.northwestregisteredagent.com. Giá bên này thì đang là 125$ 1 năm

        LƯU Ý: trong quá trình làm thì e thấy thi thoảng IP VN e đang dùng bị chặn k vào được, nên lúc đóng thuế các thứ là e đều làm trên proxy US hết để đảm bảo không bị lỗi

        Về cơ bản đây là những gì e tìm hiểu đc, hiện tại thì LLC vẫn đang ở trạng thái Good Standing chưa có báo gì, mong là sẽ giúp ích cho ae đc phần nào.
